Meet
Dr. Gail Eastman PhD
Registered Psychologist 3125
I am a farm girl from the Medicine Hat area, wife, introvert, and dog lover – so much so my office is dog friendly. I enjoy travelling and hanging out at home while honouring my introvert.
I see adults (individuals and couples) with a wide variety of issues – trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, or those just wanting to create a richer more meaningful life. WIth compassion, empathy, and a ‘down to earth’ approach, I will use my years of experience to help move you towards your goals.
So here is the more professional bio: I have held the positions of Executive Director for the Samaritans, Suicide Prevention Coordinator for CMHA, and Intake/Crisis Therapist for AMHB/Palliser Health Region and Mental Health First Aid Canada Master Facilitator. I am a Daring Way™ Facilitator (the amazing work of Brenè Brown), a Basic EMDR Trained Therapist, Certified Gottman Therapist and trained in Natural Processing. I have been recognized as a Diplomate by the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. I am also an ICISF approved Instructor for Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM): Individual Crisis Intervention and Peer Support and the Group Crisis Intervention Workshops. I have been in private practice for over 20 years.
I have volunteered/worked with numerous first responder individuals and agencies, including police, fire, search and rescue, military, veterans, paramedics, and dispatch.
